Disable or Re-enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth via Device Manager
This section applies only to devices that support Wi-Fi, i.e., devices with a DBW suffix in their Product Name.
For AudioCodes IP phones that include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capacities, administrators can enforce a wireless lockdown, by turning on a dedicated flag in Device Manager. When this flag is turned on:
| ■ | The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options are removed from the phone's Device Settings. |
| ■ | Wi-Fi and Bluetooth related configuration parameters have no effect. |
End users cannot re-enable these wireless interfaces while the restriction is in effect.
| ➢ | To disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: |
| ■ | Enable the following configuration parameter for the relevant phones in Device Manager: |
admin/restrict_wireless=1
| ➢ | To re-enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: |
| ■ | Disable the following configuration parameter for the relevant phones in Device Manager: |
admin/restrict_wireless=0
| ● | By default, the restrict_wireless flag is disabled, meaning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are available and unrestricted. |
| ● | For more information refer to the Device Manager documentation. |
