Managing SIP Gateways
The Teams SIP Gateway allows compatible SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) devices to connect to Microsoft Teams.
This enables legacy SIP devices to work seamlessly with the Microsoft Teams environment. AudioCodes recommends to customers who have deployed legacy devices, to switch to Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway mode using the Device Manager. Microsoft SIP Gateway enables your organization to use SIP phones with Microsoft Teams, thereby preserving enterprises' investments in legacy phones. Switching to this mode enables SIP phone users to sign-in to Microsoft Teams with corporate credentials and to make and receive calls. Once you switch your legacy SIP phone to Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway, you can configure the Microsoft Teams calling functionality that is supported for the specific phone model. The following phone models are supported to operate as Microsoft Teams SIP Gateways:

C450HD (in Teams mode, Skype for Business or Generic SIP mode) |

AudioCodes recommends using the C450HD as a SIP Gateway rather than as a Native Teams phone. |
