Downtimes

The Downtimes page displays a summary of downtime data in the cluster.

To view clusters:
1. From the Service Availability drop-down, select Downtimes.

The entries in the Download page reflect the downtime for individual devices that are attached to the cluster. In the example below, three devices are attached to the Direct Routing cluster.

During this sampling period, the M800 and M500 devices are sampled with 37 minutes of downtime, therefore the Availability Percentage shown is 79.4444 (37/180=.205), where the downtime is 20.5% and therefore the availability is 100-20.5=79.5.

Each data entry in this page reflect the downtime experienced by each individual device.

Parameter

Description

Start Downtime

The timestamp DD-MM-YY HH:MM:SS when the downtime is initially detected.

End Downtime

The timestamp DD-MM-YY HH:MM:SS when the downtime ends.

Description

The Justify reason text entered in the Justify Downtime check box (see below).

Device

IP address or FQDN of the SBC device configured in the cluster.

Tenant

Service Provider tenant under which the SBC device is connected in Live Platform.

Total Downtime

The total historical accumulated downtime in minutes.

Justify

Indicates that the reason for the downtime is justified; this may confirm the Suspected Reason (see below) or may be due to a factor that is external to the device operations. For example, a Power outage or Internet connection failure. As a result, the Total Calculated Downtime data is reset to 0 and the Total Raw Time represents the original sampled calculation. In the example shown below, prior to configuring the Justify parameter, the Total Calculated Downtime represents 100 % of the sampling interval (180 minutes = three hours).

Total Raw Time is 180 minutes
Total Calculated Downtime is 180 minutes

After enabling the Justify parameter, the data is revised where the Total Calculated Downtime is reset to 0 and the Total Raw Time is unchanged:

Total Raw Time is 180 minutes
Total Calculated Downtime is 0 minutes
To configure a Justification:
1. Select the entry that you wish to configure a Justification.

2. Click Justify.

3. Select the Justify check box, enter the relevant description and then click OK. Once enabled, the Justified column indicates Ö (if û is displayed, you can click Refresh to update the page).

Suspected Reason

Software Upgrade: Indicates that the device is undergoing a software upgrade
Switch Over: Indicates that Switch over has occurred between SBC Active and Redundant modules
Reset: Indicates that the SBC device has been reset.
Reset OVOC Downtime: Indicates that Live Platform server downtime has occurred concurrently in the sampled period to the SBC downtime.
Connection Error: Indicates that a connection error occurred with an error code between 400 to 500.
