sipgate basic

This guide connects the sipgate basic service to Live Hub. If you use the sipgate trunking service instead, see sipgate trunking.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Copy credentials from the sipgate basic portal.
  2. Create a SIP connection in Live Hub.

Copy credentials from the sipgate basic portal

To copy the credentials from the sipgate basic portal:

  1. Log in to the sipgate portal as a user with Admin privileges.

  2. In the navigation panel, select Telefone.

    1. Note the 'SIP-ID'.
    2. Note the 'SIP-Password'.
    3. Note the 'Registrar'.

Create a SIP connection in Live Hub

To create the SIP connection that represents your sipgate basic account:

  1. Log in to Live Hub.

  2. In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then click Add new SIP connection.

  3. Select the General tab:

    1. Under General:

      • In the 'Name' field, enter a unique SIP connection name (for example, sipgate).
      • From the 'Provider type' drop-down list, select SIP Trunk.
      • From the 'Provider' drop-down list, select sipgate SIP Trunk.
    2. Under Registration and authentication:

      • From the 'Registration' drop-down list, select Enabled.
      • In the 'Contact name' field, enter the {sipId} shown on your sipgate basic configuration screen.
      • Under Credentials, enter the {sipId} and {sipPassword} shown on your sipgate basic configuration screen.
  4. Select the Outgoing tab:

    1. Under General:

      • In the 'SIP server hostname' field, enter the {registrar} shown on your sipgate basic configuration screen. The default is sipgate.de.
    2. Under Addresses:

      • Click Add to create a new entry.

        • In the 'ADDRESS' field, enter the same {registrar} value.
        • In the 'PORT' field, enter 5060.
        • In the 'PROTOCOL' field, select UDP.
  5. Click Create.
