Configuring Login Password Expiration Alarm

By default, the Device sends the SNMP alarm acExpiredPasswordAlarm (OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5003.9.10.1.21.2.0.161) 14 days before your login password is about to expire. This reminds you to change your password (as described in Changing Login Password). The alarm is sent with minor severity level and is automatically cleared when you successfully change the password.

You can configure when you want the Device to send the alarm before password expiration.

To configure when password expiration alarm sent:
1. Open the Web Settings page (Setup menu > Administration tab > Web & CLI folder > Web Settings).
2. Under the Security group, in the 'Password Expired Alarm' field, type the number of days before password expiration when you want the Device to send the alarm:

A value of 0 disables this alarm from being sent.

3. Click Apply.
