Media Cluster Parameters

The Media Cluster parameters are described in the table below.

Media Cluster Parameters

Parameter

Description

'Cluster Mode'

configure network > mtc settings > sbc-cluster-mode

[SbcClusterMode]

Enables the Cluster feature.

[0] Disabled = (Default) Disables the Cluster feature. All media resources (forwarding and transcoding) reside locally on the device.
[2] Media Transcoding Cluster = Enables the Media Transcoding Cluster (MTC) feature. Only media transcoding resources reside on external Media Components (MC). In other words, the cluster of MCs is used only for transcoding.

Note:

For the parameter to take effect, a device restart is required.
This option is applicable only to Mediant 9080.

'Device Role'

configure network > mtc settings > sbc-device-role

[SbcDeviceRole]

Defines the device's role in the cluster.

[0] Signaling Component (default)
[1] Media Component

Note: For the parameter to take effect, a device restart is required.

'Cluster Graceful Timeout'

configure network > mtc settings > graceful-timeout

[MtcGracefulTimeout]

Defines the graceful period (in seconds) for various maintenance actions performed by the Cluster Manager on the Media Components.

The valid value is 0 to 2,000,000. The default is 1,000.

For more information, see Configuring Graceful Timeout.

'Bandwidth Limit per Cluster Interface'

configure network > mtc settings > cluster-network-max-bandwidth

[MtcClusterNetworkMaxBandwidth]

Defines the maximum bandwidth (in Mbps) allowed on each Cluster interface.

The valid value is 1 to 10,000. The default is 1,000.

For more information, see Configuring Maximum Bandwidth for Cluster Interfaces.

'Cluster Redundancy Mode'

configure network > mtc settings > redundancy-mode

[MtcRedundancyMode]

Defines the cluster redundancy mode.

[0] HA Mode (default)
[1] Best Effort

For more information, see Configuring Cluster Redundancy Mode.
