Hiding Passwords in Management Interfaces
By default, the device hides all passwords in the management interfaces by replacing them with asterisks (*). Passwords are hidden in all the different areas of the management interfaces, for example:

Activity Log - in the Web interface and CLI, and sent in syslog messages. |

CLI command history buffer - appears when pressing the up and down arrow keys to recall previously run commands or when using the history command to view the buffer. You can show passwords (not recommended), using this CLI command: conf system > cli-settings > password-history-visible on |
