Record-on-Demand and Save-on-Demand Supported for Group Calls

Administrators can now set up recording profiles to enable record-on-demand (ROD) and/or save-on-demand (SOD) of Teams calls with multiple participants. In general, this feature works the same way as the existing functionality for regular calls.

Pause/Resume

If Pause/Resume is enabled, pause and resume actions are monitored separately for each participant. Recording stops for a participant when the participant click Pause and resumes when the participant clicks Resume. Paused segments are not transcribed or AI-summarized for that participant.

If all participants pause recording, recording indicators are turned off.

Record-on-Demand

If ROD is enabled, recording starts for a participant when the participant clicks the Start button. For that participant, playback, transcription, and AI-generated summary start from that point onward.

Save-on-Demand

If SOD is enabled, each participant must click Save to retain their own recording. If no participant saves the recording within the configured time limit after the call ends, the recording is discarded.
