Managing Number Ranges
The Unassigned Number Range allows you to define number ranges that you can then assign to templates. Unassigned Number Ranges are used in Lifecycle Management to automatically assign telephone numbers to M365 tenant users upon creation of the tenant in the Onboarding process. You can configure a range of phone numbers to be automatically assigned to new users. For example, new employees start working at a specific location and once connected to the network are automatically assigned a phone number.
Unlike policies (or Phone) number ranges are not enforced / or changed during the lifecycle scheduled policy replication.
