debug get-global-ip

This command discovers and displays the device's public-facing IP address as seen by external internet services. The device queries the ident.me web service via an HTTP request to determine its externally visible IP address.

Syntax

Global IP address according to customer’s routing table:

debug get-global-ip

Global IP address of a specified IP interface in the IP Interfaces table:

debug get-global-ip interface name "<Interface Name>"

Note

When the device operates behind NAT, the displayed IP address is that of the upstream router or gateway providing internet access, not the device's local IP address.

Example

The following outputs the exposed public IP address that's associated with IP Interface "O+M+C":
