Removing Copper NIC in Slot 3 (Configuration Option B)
This section describes how to remove the copper NIC in Slot 3, which is required for configuration option B (see Network Configurations).

To remove the copper NIC: |

1.
|
Disconnect the network cables from Slot 3. |
|
2.
|
Shutdown the server and disconnect the power cables from both power supply units. |
|
3.
|
Open the server’s cover. |
|
4.
|
Pull out Riser 2. For detailed information, see this video tutorial. |
|
5.
|
Remove the PCIe card in Slot 3 from the Riser. For detailed information, see this video tutorial. |
|
6.
|
Return Riser 2 to its place. |
|
7.
|
Return the server’s cover and connect the power cables. |
