Advanced

Actions Drop-down menu

The following actions can be performed from the Actions drop-down menu:

Collect Logs:  Allows network administrators to get logs without needing to go to the phone. See Collect Logs from a Device for more information.
Screen Capture: The Device Manager enables administrators to capture and download the current state of the Device's Web UI for FAE troubleshooting. The feature enables capturing the device's main screen as well as the device’s Expansion Module (sidecar) in the case of phone models with a sidecar. The captures can be taken from the Device Status page or from the Monitor page and then once uploaded to Device Manager can be downloaded in .jpg format to your PC. The implementation of this AudioCodes Android Device Utility feature removes the need to install unofficial third- party applications on employee PCs, and thereby possibly compromising network security. See Capture Screens from a Device.
Restart: Sends command to restart the device. Note that some phone models wait for the user to finish an active call, while others may perform an immediate restart.
Refresh: Refreshes the device information.

Download Device Files

After you generate screen captures (see above), a .jpg file is generated that you can then download to your PC.

Periodic Updates

Update Configuration

Sends a command to the phone to check whether there is a new configuration file to upload and updates the phone after a configurable 'Delay Time' (Default = 2 seconds). See here.

Update Peripherals

Verifies if peripherals that are attached to Meeting Room devices require updates. If updates are available, you can install them.

Ensure that the update file is available and the peripheral is connected.

Update Firmware

You can update firmware per device, or for multiple selected devices. See here

The figure above shows the screen that opens after selecting multiple devices. The screen for a single device is identical but without the option to execute the action in batches.

From the dropdown, select the firmware file, and then click Update; the firmware file is updated. You can simultaneously update the device's configuration file.

If you select multiple devices and then click the Selected Rows Actions link in the title bar to choose 'Update Software' from the drop-down, the screen (as shown in the figure above) will include the option to do the following:

update firmware simultaneously for a batch of devices, each batch containing 5 | 10 | 20 | 30 | 50 | 100 devices
configure a 0 second | 2 second | 5 second  | 10 second | 30 second | 2 minute | 5 minute delay between batches

The icon is displayed in the 'Firmware' column adjacent to a listed device in the Devices Status page, it indicates that that device's firmware is not the latest firmware available; you can click the icon to upload the device's latest firmware.
