Migrating Devices from On-prem to Live Platform Device Manager

Migrating devices from an on-prem Device Manager system to a Live Platform Device Manager consists of the following steps:

1.

In On-prem Device Manager, change the provisioning order of the devices to be migrated (see Modifying Provisioning Order Configuration).

2.

In Live Platform, add the MAC addresses of the devices to the redirect server for the target service (see Adding Devices to Live Platform Device Manager).

3.

In On-prem Device Manager, regenerate the devices' configuration files with the updated provisioning order (see Applying Redirect Configuration to Devices).

4.

In On-prem Device Manager, delete the devices and reset their provisioning parameters (see Removing Migrated Devices from On-prem Device Manager).
