snmp settings

This command configures various SNMP settings.

Syntax

Description

activate-keep-alive-trap [interval]

Enables a keep-alive trap for the agent behind NAT.

community-strings

Defines SNMP Community Strings (see community-strings).

access-groups

Defines SNMP Access Groups (see access-groups).

disable {no|yes}

Enables SNMP.

enable-authentication-trap {off|on}

Disables the sending of the Authentication Failure SNMP trap (authenticationFailure, OID 1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.5).

enable-advanced-mode {off|on}

Enables the SNMP advanced mode.

engine-id

Defines the SNMP Engine ID. 12 HEX Octets in the format: xx:xx:...:xx

snmp-server-interface > ipv4-snmp-network-source

Defines the alias name that represents the VRF table or IP address of the IPv4 network interface that is used to bind to the SNMP application.

snmp-server-interface-ipv6 > ipv6-snmp-network-source

Defines the alias name that represents the VRF table or IP address of the IPv6 network interface that is used to bind to the SNMP application.

port

Defines the port number for SNMP requests and responses.

snmp-acl {community string}

Sets the configuration.

snmp-transport-type {IPv4|IPv6}

Defines the IP address version of the SNMP trap destinations.

sys-contact

Defines the contact person for this managed node (string) .

sys-location

Defines the physical location of the node (string).

sys-name

Defines the sysName as descibed in MIB-2 (string).

sys-oid

Defines the base product system OID - SNMP SysOid (string).

trap-destinations

Defines SNMP Trap Destinations (see trap-destinations).

trusted-manager

Defines SNMP Trusted Managers (see trusted-manager).

view-tree-family

Defines the SNMP View Tree Family (see view-tree-family).
