Connecting the Serial Interface to a Computer

The RS-232 interface port is used to access the command line interface (CLI) for serial communication. The DB-9 to micro USB cable adapter is provided for this purpose:

To connect the serial interface port to a computer:

Connect the Micro-USB connector (labeled "P3" in the previous figure) at one end of the cable, to the serial port (labeled IOIO) located on the SBC module.

Connect the DB-9 connector labeled "P1" (red), at the other end of the cable, to the RS-232 communication port on your computer.
