Importing Dial Plan Rules for a Specific Dial Plan
You can import Dial Plan rules for a specific Dial Plan without affecting other Dial Plans and their rules. This is done using the Import option in the Dial Plan Rules table.
This method provides tighter control over importing Dial Plan rules than importing them using the Import option in the Dial Plan table. When importing the file in the Dial Plan table, all rules of all Dial Plans are deleted; the device imports only rules of Dial Plans that appear in both the file and Dial Plan table.

The Dial Plan rules in the imported file replace all existing rules of the specific Dial Plan. |

Make sure that the name of the Dial Plan in the file is identical to the Dial Plan name in the Dial Plan table. If the imported file doesn't contain the same Dial Plan name, the device deletes all the rules of the specific Dial Plan. |

To import Dial Plan rules for a specific Dial Plan: |

Select the required Dial Plan, and then click the Dial Plan Rule link located below the table; the Dial Plan Rule table opens, displaying all the rules of the selected Dial Plan. |

From the 'Action' drop-down menu, choose Import; the following confirmation message box appears: |

Click Yes; a dialog box appears for selecting the Dial Plan file you want to import. |

Browse to and select the file; a message box appears, displaying the file import progress. When the file has been uploaded, the following message appears, indicating the number of Dial Plan rules that were imported into the Dial Plan: |
