Connecting Devices Automatically
The Automatic Detection feature enables devices without a domain to use the AudioCodes Services default domain to automatically connect devices to Live Platform. When devices are connected to the power supply in the enterprise network and/or are rebooted and initialized, they're automatically detected and added to Live Platform according to the following:
■
Live Platform recognizes the devices according to their field 'sysDesc' and serial number, and according to the entries in the database. A device's default name comprises the router's IP address and the port number. The NAT sometimes changes device IP address and port. Live Platform recognizes these changes after devices are reset. |
■
Upon connection Live Platform automatically determines the devices firmware version and matches the Service Provider domain configured in the Tenant settings (see Adding Service Provider Tenants) with the domain FQDN contained in the Keep-alive message that is sent from the device. For example, 'sandbox1.finebak.com'. The Auto-detected devices are then added according to the following: |
●
When the domain FQDN of the device matches the Service Provider domain, the devices are added to the Auto-detection region under the matching Service Provider tenant. |
●
When there is no FQDN match, the devices are added to the Auto-detection region of the Default tenant of the Live Platform server instance. |
The above mechanism requires the following setup:
■
Configure SBC devices to send coldStart (after device reset) and keep-alive traps (sent every 30 seconds by default) to Live Platform server. |
●
Live Platform can automatically concurrently add up to 255 devices using this mechanism. |
