Connecting T1/E1 Trunks using RJ-48C Ports
This section is relevant only if you have ordered support for up to 32 T1/E1 interfaces.
The device provides 32 RJ-48C ports for connecting up to 32 T1/E1 trunks.

T1/E1 port cabling must be routed only indoors and must not exit the building. |

To comply with EMC rules and regulations, use shielded twisted pair (STP) cables for E1 interfaces. |

To connect T1/E1 port interface to PBX/PSTN: |

1.
|
Connect one end of the trunk cable to an RJ-48C port located on the rear panel. |
|
2.
|
Connect the other end of the trunk cable to your PBX/PSTN switch. |
