Migrate Devices from On-prem to Live Platform Device Manager

Migrating devices from an on-prem Device Manager system to a Live Platform Device Manager consists of the following steps:

1.

In On-prem Device Manager, change the provisioning order of the devices to be migrated (see Modify the Provisioning Order Configuration).

2.

In Live Platform, add the MAC addresses of the devices to the redirect server for the target service (see Add Devices to Live Platform Device Manager).

3.

In On-prem Device Manager, regenerate the devices' configuration files with the updated provisioning order (see Apply Redirect Configuration to Devices).

4.

In On-prem Device Manager, delete the devices and reset their provisioning parameters (see Remove Migrated Devices from On-prem Device Manager).
