Retention Period of Meeting Recordings
Your meeting recordings are kept by Meeting Insights for a specific period, after which they expire and are automatically deleted.
This retention period (policy) is defined by your Meeting Insights administrator. The administrator may have defined a global retention period for your meeting recordings, or different (exceptions) retention periods for each of the following areas of your meeting recordings:
| ■ | Media (audio and video) |
| ■ | Transcription |
| ■ | AI-generated insights |
If your administrator has set a zero-day retention period for media or transcription, Meeting Insights doesn't save the video or transcription of your meeting recording. In this case, Meeting Insights displays a message in the video player or transcription indicating that there is no video ("No Recording") or transcription (".. is not available...").
If your administrator has set non-zero retention periods for media, transcription, or AI-generated insights, when their retention period expires and Meeting Insights deletes them, Meeting Insights displays a message indicating that they were deleted - video ("Recording Deleted"), transcription ("...has been deleted..."), or AI-generated insights ("...has been deleted...").
To view the dates after which a meeting recording's media, transcription, or AI-generated insights will be automatically deleted, see Viewing Retention Period of Meeting Recording.
If enabled by your Meeting Insights administrator, you can extend the retention period of a meeting recording, as described in Extending Retention Period of Meeting Recordings.
