Import a Recording Created by a Third-Party App

You can upload to Meeting Insights meetings that have been recorded by third-party recording apps (e.g., a webinar tool). Once uploaded, these meeting recordings appear in the meeting recording list with all the other meeting recordings and are displayed with the icon. You can manage imported meeting recordings the same way you manage recordings created directly in Meeting Insights.

You can import meeting recordings only if your Meeting Insights Administrator has enabled this feature for you. To see if it's enabled, refer to the 'Meeting Import' field in your account information (see View Account Information).
Meeting Insights supports importing recordings in the following formats: .avi, .mp4, .wmv, .mpeg, .wav, .mov, .flv, .mpg, .aac, .flv, .flac, .wma, .mp3, .m4a, .webm, and .wmv
To import a recorded meeting by third-party app:
1. In the top-right corner of the Meeting Insights window, near your profile picture, click the Import Meeting icon; the Import a File page appears:

2. In the 'Subject' field, type a subject for the meeting recording.
3. In the 'Meeting's Date and Time' field, select the date and time of the meeting:
a. Click the calendar icon; the calendar dialog box appears.
b. On the left pane, select the date.
c. On the right pane, select the time in 12-hour format, using the AM or PM buttons to denote morning or afternoon, respectively.

If you don't specify a date and time, Meeting Insights uses the current date and time.

4. Click the Add button, browse to and select the recorded file on your computer; the file's name, type, size and last modified date is displayed, for example:

If you want to choose a different file, click the Replace button, and then select a different file.

5. Click the Upload button; Meeting Insights uploads the file. When the upload completes, Meeting Insights begins processing the recording. You are automatically taken to the  All meetings page, where the uploaded recording appears with the icon.
